Kara Sallie (椿中村, Tsubaki Nakamura), made her first appearance in Soulcalibur II, and has returned for Soulcalibur III, Soulcalibur IV, and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny.

Kara's weapon throughout Soulcalibur II. In Soulcalibur IV, Jessie brought this sword to life by pitting it against Kagekiri, and other weapons. After Xianghua passed her Northern Star to Kara, Kara decided that she must use her own destiny to destroy Soul Edge.

Kara was the oldest child of a realtor. She made friends with Jessie Parnell in 5th grade. One day, Andrew was knocked unconscious by a man named Maxi Komoto. Kara did not realize that Maxi was her biological father. Jessie, as well as Kara, recieved a oracle from a greek god called Hephaesteus. Jessie rejected the oracle, saying "I have more important plans for a young ninja." Kara accepted the oracle, hoping that Andrew would be safe.
One day, Kara believed that Hephaesteus betrayed her. "Tell me why you did this Hephaesteus! This is your fault! You did this to Jessie! Why? Answer me!" Kara shouted as her anger grew.
Jessie saw Kara's angered look, and ran off to destroy Maxi. Kara walked to Jessie's house, only to learn from her dad that she was gone. So, she gathered up Neiko Paolino, Morgan Correa, and Isabelle Owen, and left off to find Jessie.

Her oath, her destiny, Kara defeated all that stood in her way. When she returned, she would be likely to purify all evil going on around Cañon City. She then put her sword away, until her next journey.

Kara continues her journey for revenge. Her ending description clearly states; Her resolve for revenge, drives her onward; She uses her path for the right thing.
Kara had just witnessed Maxi being knocked unconscious at the Ostrheinsburg Chapel in Germany. She understood Jessie's pain very well. After defeating Cassandra, she decided to join Jessie, as Kara thought that Cassandra was an ally of Maxi. Cassandra admitted that she did'nt know who he was. Jessie visited Andrew's house one day, telling him that Maxi was still alive. Kara was angry to overhear that.
"How long must that show-off live?" Kara asked to herself.
Kara got a call from Isabelle, telling her that Jessie and Andrew went-off again. Kara ran off with her Northern Star, and journeyed again. She believed that revenge could be recieved by destroying Maxi, for the final time. So Kara journeyed of her own will.

Kara walks up to destroy Soul Edge. She destroys Soul Edge with one strike and falls to the ground saying, "Owww!" Then Kara realizes that her sword is broken, saying, "Oh no...Xianghua's gonna kill me. Aw man." The next scene is Kara is in the Ming Empire walking slowly so that way, she does'nt drop the sword....

Kara lays the still-broken Northern Star on the altar, as Xianghua appears on the scene and calls her. Both then leave, as the sword falls down in two pieces behind them.

Just as Kara is about to place the sword on the altar, Xianghua calls her. She hurriedly puts the sword behind her back. She turns and walks down to talk to her friend. Just then the tip of the sword falls. Kara knows she's now screwed. Kara tries to explain. The game loads to Xianghua's place. Kara is seen hammering down on Northern Star, crying. She holds it up to see if it is fixed. It falls apart. "I can't believe it!", she cries.
Kara accidentally broke her sword while visiting The Ming Empire, and Xianghua was dissappointed. Kara was grounded for a day for damaging her weapon. A week later, Kara encountered Taki Komoto, who, after being defeated, agreed to repair her sword. Taki let Kara know that Jessie was her daughter. Kara was not convinced until Destiney Sneed, a friend of Jessie's, said that she had a feeling it was true. Kara snuck out at night, with her repaired sword, that was brought to life by Jessie's Kagekiri, and went with her friends to investigate.
"If Maxi and Andrew are both hosts of Soul Edge, then how would they become effected by its power?" Kara asked to herself.
Kara, herself, had to ponder that question for a moment. Andrew had become a host of Soul Edge, and things were concerning her. Kara, after school that day, pushed the door open, and left out.

Jessie walks up to Soul Calibur, grabs the hilt, and destroys Soul Edge. Kara runs to Jessie saying that she did well...until Jessie is attacked by...Ghost Kyam? Kyam asks Jessie why she had to go through misery. Kara then destroys Ghost Kyam with Northern Star, telling Jessie that she doesn't have to go through the burden of Soul Edge anymore. Then in Shuri, Kara walks with Isabelle and Morgan, saying jokes, when Destiney and Lillian join them in the laughter. The text only ending states; Whatever the cost, Kara and Jessie sealed a great evil. The world will go back to normal.

- Kara has known Xianghua ever since Soulcalibur II. Kara was interested in Northern Star, so she was taught by Xianghua the Ling-Sheng Su Style Chinese Sword.
- Ever since Jessie had been friends with Kara, Jessie introduced Destiney and Lillian to her.
- Kara (game time) has a crush on a boy named McKay.
- Kara, Jessie, and the others, except for Destiney and Lillian, all go to Cañon City Middle School. That would probably explain the Soulcalibur IV stage, Cañon City Middle School - Rooftop.
- In The Soulcalibur IV: Jessie's Story Manga, Kara, Morgan, and Isabelle are revealed to be triplet daughters of The Queen of The Netherlands.
