Soulcalibur Legends (ソウルキャリバー レジェンズ, Sourukyaribā Rejenzu?) is an adventure game for the Wii console. It is a spin-off of Namco Bandai's successful Soul fighting game series. It was released on November 20, 2007 in North America and was released in Japan on December 13, 2007. The game is set to come out in Europe in Summer 2008. The game features competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes in addition to the single player story mode.

[edit] Gameplay

This game went from the fighting game based system, to an action/adventure game in which the camera is in the third person veiw. The ccontrol scheme is simple and unique. You use the Nunchuk's analog stick to move around you also flick the nunchuk in any direction to dash in that direction which is a great way to dodge attacks. To attack, you swing the wii remote up, down, and side, to side, the faster you swing, the weaker the attack will be. the b botton on the wii remote is used to jump while the a button is used to lock-on to an enemy. On the nunchuk, the z button is used to block, if ou swing the nunchuk while holding the z button, you can parry an attack. The c button activates soul break mode, giving you stronger attacks for a short amount of time.

According to the box Soulcalibur Legends takes place between Soul Edge and Soul Calibur. The game begins as Siegfried finds Soul Edge on a ship. He battles Cervantes on the Deck of the ship. Later, Siegfried is tasked by the Masked emperor of the Holy Roman Empire to find the remaining pieces of Soul Edge in order to use it to win the war against Barbaros of the Ottoman Empire.

  • Assassin (Common enemy.)
  • Barbaros (Usurper Sultan of the Ottoman Empire.)

  • Geki (A Fu-Ma ninja after Taki, who is transformed by Soul Edge's power into an oni-like monster.)

  • Iska (A refugee Hungarian prince who is the court jester for the Masked Emperor. Later revealed to be the true main villain.)
  • Lizardmen (Common enemy.)
  • Masked Emperor (A female creation made by Iska to trick Siegfried into giving up Soul Edge.)
  • Nightmare (Siegfried's demonic alter-ego, that appears after he succumbs to Soul Edge's power.)
