[edit] Ambition
![]()
A huge sword used by Strife. Ambition is the Astlar dynasty's symbol of imperial power, and was probably his father's weapon first. Despite its weight, Strife doesn't have problems carrying it. However, Strife does not carry or wield this sword in Chronicles. Ambition lends the wielder strength, but lowers the wielder's defence.
[edit] Soul Edge
It is unknown as to how Strife got ahold of the demonic sword, but he is seen using it for the first time as he slays Girardot at the end of Chronicle 15. He uses it again as he faces off against the Player in Chronicle 20.
[edit] Story
On that day, Strife took the Emperor's throne. At the age of ten, not even a hint of smile was to be seen. For days, he did not eat. For days, he did not sleep. For days, he concealed a dagger.
His own kin had made attempts on his life for the crown. Trust was nowhere to be seen, and betrayel became a daily routine. The vile avarice of humans and the fear of his own brutal death, slowly ate away at his sanity.
One day, a voice was heard from deep within the castle. The voice was heard each time he sat at his throne. Gradually, this voice became a part of him. He began to speak these words as though they were his own.
From that day forward, he would become a different man. He would execute anyone who dared opposed him. He would ruthlessly tortured anyone who aroused his suspicions. He would wield the very symbol of Empericil power, "Ambition". He would declare non-intervention in other lands while expanding his military.
...Today, a cadet visiting the Acedemy caught his eye. Something in his demeanor was unsettling, but it was just for a moment.
He did not realize at the time that this cadet possessed what he was long sought after.
[edit] Ending
None.
[edit] Trivia
- Strife's entire costume is made from Create-a-Fighter parts. He has no original parts or features.
- In most cases Strife is depicted holding Ambition. At the last chapter of "Chronicles of the Sword", Strife wields the Soul Edge, therefore, it can be believed that Strife only canonically wielded Soul Edge in battle.
[edit] Character Relationships
- Nemisis of Girardot in the later chapters of Chronicles of the Sword mode, then the cadet.
